The Nike Dunk High GS “Gold Mountain” is the youth sizing of the colorway inspired by San Francisco’s Chinatown neighborhood. Part of a collection of colorways that honor the oldest Chinatown neighborhood in the US, the “Gold Mountain” or “San Francisco Chinatown,” the shoe’s other nickname, features a white leather base with Desert Ore leather overlays and a tan suede Swoosh. A golden mountain graphic is printed on the lateral side of the heel, a reference to the “Old Golden Mountain” nickname given to San Francisco by Chinese immigrants when they arrived in the city in the 1800s.
